Draw What You Hear Worksheet
Very simple activity I complete with my 5th and 6th graders when we discuss "Absolute Music" (music for the sake of music) in music history lessons.
Students are asked to listen to a selection of music (I choose a piece from the Classical Period to align with the larger content we are learning) and draw what they hear. Choral Rehearsal and Performance Self Evaluation
It is important that students self assess their progress both in rehearsal and after performances. This rubric allows them to do both. I usually have them complete it (in pencil) after watching a video of a rehearsal a week or two before the concert date. Then we discuss it to prepare for the performance. After the concert, we watch that video and reassess (with highlighter). I then use it as a guide when I am assigning grades for the concert.

D String Note Names and Fingers Worksheets (Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass)
Comes as a Microsoft Word Document.This D String Note Name Quiz covers the notes: D, E, F, and G on the violin, viola, cello and bass (no key signatures/accidentals included). It asks students for the letter name and finger number for each note (without specifics of high 2/low 2). The bass part includes the shifted G on the D String and is written as -1, but you can change the instructions to use open G if you wanted to.
