I went through how to use JWPepper with my 6th graders- starting with going to "String Orchestra," and showing them the different categories. Comes as a Microsoft Word Document.This D String Note Name Quiz covers the notes: D, E, F, and G on the violin, viola, cello and bass (no key signatures/accidentals included).
