I completed my pre-service training at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, graduating with a B.S. in Music Education. After my student teaching experience, I began work for the Department of Defense Education Activity and have been stationed in Japan for the past 3 years where I have taught music in grades pk-6. During this time, I have devoted time to developing methods of music education that are efficient, easy to employ by non-musically trained educators, and focus on interdisciplinary skills.
In my teaching, I use a combination of Orff Schulwerk (I hold a certification), the Kodaly Method, and traditional teaching. I design most of my own materials to meet my interdisciplinary goals of incorporating other subjects into my lessons.

The lessons presented here are designed to be implemented in both the music classroom and also in the general classroom. All kits are self-contained and can be lead by instructors with minimal music training. The goal is to provide a basic music education to students at all schools, especially those without access to music specialists.
