Periodic Table Gossip
If elements could text what would they text about? The periodic table is often a boring subject to teach and difficult to make relevant to middle schoolers. I created this worksheet for my sixth graders and they had a lot of fun figuring out this periodic table gossip. It gives the students a chance to become familiar with finding elements on the periodic table without being overwhelmed.

This is a great way to get kids to practice using the words period and group while getting acquainted with the periodic table. At a higher level you can have them practice the family names such as Noble gases or Alkali metals instead of Group numbers.
