The Nutcracker: A Craft-ivity
Students love the story of the Nutcracker. Included in this document is a re-telling of the story and a fun project! Students color and cut out a nutcracker doll, then glue him to an empty paper towel roll for a 3D nutcracker of their very own. This can easily be done in a 20 to 30-minute time period in school, but it is fun to give this as a take-home project so that students can use additional materials (sequins, beads, feathers, etc.) and bring back for a colorful display at school!

Back to School! Personal History Playlist - Getting to Know You
Perfect activity for the first week of school! Get to know your students. Create a playlist of various songs to understand your class. Use music as a way to get kids interested, and get to know them. These are purely the directions for this activity. This could be easily adaptable for younger or older students.
