One Man Band - Pixar Short Film Unit
This is a short work booklet that is used with the Pixar Short Film - One Man Band. It is a great accompaniment for a literacy unit, music class or general lesson on film comprehension.
I have used this booklet over two lessons and had students use instruments, disucss the ethical issues in the film and come up with their own song based on what they have watched in the film. The film itself can be easily found online to view through you tube.

Band/Musician individual Research Booklets
Booklet designed for individual research, creativity and listening. Students can work through it individually or in groups. Involves a lot of student choice. Includes a point system so students can complete activities they are comfortable with and at their ability level. Includes short answer questions, drawing activities, rewriting lyrics and creating lists. Perfect for 2 or 3 lessons with stage 4 music for both music trained and not music trained teachers.

Music Interactive Notebook Pages - Dynamics, Tempos, Articulations
I use these pages in my students' interactive notebooks. Often, when listening to a piece, the students are able to use these as a reference.
Another way to use these is to print them out, laminate them, cut them up, and put them in a ziplock baggie. As students listen to a piece, they can select terms that they feel describe the piece.
Students can also quiz each other, such as asking a partner to say the Italian word for quiet (piano) or ask for the definition of a word.
