This is a Study guide to Howard Goodall's Story of Music (found on youtube from the BBC) The video is broken into 2 1/2 hour segments, so that students have time to collaborate, catch up, or only watch a short segment at at time. The questions closely follow the video, and the slides pick out key vocabulary words, figures, and facts from the first video "The Age of Discovery." The questions fall about every 2 minutes, so students will really need to focus on the video to answer them correctly

This event is our moment in history when everyone remembers where they were on that morning, and just like our grandparents told us about where they were when Kennedy was shot, we too mustn't allow this generation to forget what we saw and felt as we lived through it.The Essential Question for this unit is: How did country musicians’ respon
