Oral Interpretation: Reading a Children's Book
It can be difficult to incorporate the speaking standards in meaningful ways, but there is no better way for a student to practice both fluency and speaking skills than by presenting a children's book! This project asks students to share a book with the class, giving guidelines for the presentation. If you have younger students in your school, you can even have the students share with an authentic audience! It is always a hit!

This "cooking" activity is fun for all ages for St. Patrick's Day! The ingredients are simple: Fruity Pebbles, graham crackers, frosting, food coloring, and mini marshmallows.
