Great Wall of China 3 Dimensional diorama art project
The Great Wall of China will come to life as your students recreate this ancient wonder out of paper! By printing out the sheets on different colors of paper, you gain the view of perspective (areas in the foreground are darker, areas in the background are lighter). Ancient Chinese Alphabet Book Project
I have the students complete the Chinese Alphabet Book Project at the end of the unit on China. It takes about a week for my middle school kids to complete, and they love it. It gives them the opportunity to show off what they have learned about ancient China in an artistic way, and they may also conduct their own research to learn more about certain topics that the textbook my have only introduced. Be sure to have the kids bring their art supplies to class.
