This project, created by Lindsey DeLuca, introduces students to the concepts of healthy eating, biochemistry and nutrition.
Students first create a rubric-based "book" explaining the functions of the four macromolecules: carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids, and proteins. Then, students keep a food journal of what they eat for a time period. Students analyze the food journal based on their recommonded values of each nutrient, and then get evaluated on their analysis.
