As a Dual Language teacher, I often find that resources in Spanish are limited. I went to a presentation where the speakers had written a song that accompanies a rounding game. This was a great song, however, it was written in English. I asked for permission to translate this song, so here it is! The students learn the process of rounding while having fun!

Ser Practice (with Enrique Iglesias song)
Students will listen to the song "Alguien soy yo" by Enrique Iglesias. As they listen, they will write in the missing lyrics. The lyrics are different forms of SER. What a great upbeat song for levels I and II Spanish! This song is clean (no drug, alcohol, sex, nada) full of regular ar, er and ir verbs and a few boot verbs (empezar), ir+a+infinitive, a bit of weather vocab (lluvia) and easy to understand. This song is "Waka waka" by Shakira. The song includes many present tense verbs and present tense stem-changing verbs. You can remove vocabulary terms or verbs and replace them with a blank so that the students can fill in the missing words. My students request this song on a daily basis and had a great time learning the dance that Shakira does in the video.

We've all heard of the "Tener es tuve..." (La cucaracha) preterite song for irregular verbs, but where's the song for regular verbs?
