Doubles Song / Doubling Rhyme / Multiplication / Two Times Table
I wrote this rhyme to help second and third-graders memorize their doubles facts. While they often could double 1-5 with ease, they tended to get mixed up with the products of 6, 7, 8 and 9 when multiplied by two. After "singing" this enough times, I could hear my students whispering the lines to themselves when doing computations! Eventually, as with anything that we memorize, they needed to refer to the rhyme less and less, and eventually it was committed to memory.

Multi-Digit Decimal Arithmetic Worksheet
This worksheet is designed to be used with my music video "Without You (My Calculator)" on my YouTube channel "mrsteffessongs".

This is a list of songs from You Tube that I typed up to have as a student script when learning to skip count. This is really useful for teaching multiplication, too! You can download these and use as a center, whole class practice, handout to send home, or sing and dance as a brain break. These could also be laminated and made into a reusable book.
