These are some of my favorite tongue twisters that I do with my kids. I do not claim that I created any of these, but they are very easy to find on the internet. I print out a classroom set and then I get them laminated by my school so they last forever. You can even test the kids on them. I select a different student leader every week to lead the class in warm ups.

Modern Version Of Edgar Allen Poe's "The Raven"
I took the poem and translated it line by line to end up with a version that has simplified the words, while still holing onto all the meaning. It is a great resource for kids that struggle with dense text or old English. My English language learners and students with disabilities, as well as my general education students, loved it! It allows everyone to have access to the same text, so all students can understand the meaning and participate in discussions.

Creating an Infomercial (propaganda techniques)
I do this project at the end of every year. It takes about a week for the kids to get into the groove of it. They really like the freedom to do whatever they want, either selling or supporting a cause, and then I film them on my iPad.
