Rubric: Speaking assessment rubrics for World Language classes
These speaking rubric cards are designed to record data from three speaking assessments for a single student. They can be used either as a formative assessment rubric or a summative assessment rubric. The file contains instructions for using the cards, and it contains two kinds of rubrics that can be used for five different levels of language classes.

Flipgrid Presentational Speaking Rubric *freebie*
This free product is a sample rubric I use for my students' presentational speaking assessments via Flipgrid. Flipgrid is a wonderful resource for language teachers to assess students' speaking and provide students more speaking practice inside and outside of class time. This rubric could easily be applied to other tools such as videos/recordings on Google Voice, Seesaw, etc.

Plan a trip to a Spanish speaking country
Your students will have six days to plan an extensive trip to a Spanish speaking city/country!
They must determine who is going, where they will be staying, their budget for the trip, and a detailed plan for every day (restaurants,
tourist activities, etc).
Strategies: Students may use notes from class, video worksheet information, the travel guide books in class,
the internet, and other resources through use of technology.
-I recommend at least at least one full day in the computer lab.

Students will create a video about themselves using a web 2.0 tool: animoto. They will include information such as their name, age, likes, description, and favorite family member.
