DEBATE RUBRIC: For Socratic Seminar, Argument, and Classroom Discussion
I've used and updated this rubric for years with for use in my debate style discussions and Socratic seminar classroom practices. This is a great assessment tool for skill development in oral presentations, public speaking, speech and building an argument for a persuasive writing piece. Rubric - Writing Your Own Constitution
Students, alone or in a group, create their own society following the rubric on my site. As part of the project, they also create a society constitution that mirrors the U.S. Constitution. Geography World Regions Research Project
This is a rubric for a Geography Research Project that requires students to work collaboratively to encompass the culture of the 6 major world regions. I pre-assigned groups for the students and required each team member to sign up for a fair amount of the 10 components described.
