A rubric you can use to evaluate student-led conferences, with grading options that allow up to 100 points. The lowest possible score on this rubric is currently set as a 76, since I feel like students who put in the work should get a good score. There is also a place for both teachers and parents to put in notes. I created this rubric for the Comp II course I taught this summer. It certainly made grading quicker and easier, and provided feedback that I did not have to handwrite.
I used for several book discussions within the course, including DORIAN GRAY, FRANKENSTEIN, LORD OF THE FLIES, as well as HAMLET.

Beginning of the Year - About Me Hanging Display Activity & Rubric
This is a beginning of the year activity to creatively introduce students.
We start by exploring what a symbol is. Next, we go over the rubric and view some examples, rating them along the rubric. Students then choose 5 symbols (pictures, 3-D objects, or hand-drawn items) are used and attached to their hanger.
After forming the hanging display, in class each student writes what each symbol represents and why that symbol is important to the individual. You can choose to scaffold the writing
