Editable Student & Teacher Friendly Math Homework Rubric

Students are graded on Timeliness, Completion, Accuracy, & Labeling. Not all categories have equal weights. This saved me when I was struggling to grade homework on time it really lifted a weight off of my shoulders.
I have weekly homework assignments that are due on Fridays however this rubric will fit almost any Homework-style that you have.
It is both student friendly and teacher friendly, I print copies for students at the beginning of a course and then I grab one of these

Find the Volume Project
This is the project handout and rubric for a "Find the Volume" Project.
Students are asked to find a real work example of a cone, cylinder, and sphere and make a visual aid with these items. The rubric is included to show students how they will be graded on their final product.

Multiplying Dimensions Project
In this project, students learn how multiplying dimensions affects the area of a product. They chose a small 2-dimensional item they want to enlarge for their model. (Could be easily modified to include options for 3-dimensional items.) Tessellation NOTES and activity with grading rubric
Here is a word document with notes and picture example of what a tessellation is. Students like the pictures and it helps for them to see what they are.
There are also directions for students to make their own tessellation on a note card. I will normally give them a big white construction paper to draw their tessellation on and then they have to color the entire paper. It can be basic or as detailed as they would like.

Angle Story Book Assessment
I came up this last year as a fun way to assess my students' understanding of vertical, adjacent, corresponding, supplementary, etc. angles.
This project is for students to develop a kid friendly comic strip or book that illustrates the angles in math terms and shows where these angles can be found in every day life.
There is also a requirement for application.
My students did an awesome job with this. It's really great what they can come up with on their own.

Similarity Performance Task - Alternative Assessment
This was a performance task I gave to my geometry students after our unit on Similarity. *It could be used at multiple grade levels* It presents a real life scenario and requires students to use their knowledge of similarity to find lengths, perimeters, areas and volumes of similar figures. The task guides students to think of multiple solutions to the same problem and make conjectures about volumes of similar figures.
