Comparing Number to 20 Boom™Cards
This set of Boom Cards gives students practice comparing numbers to 20. It uses the cutest alligator GIFs that the student can manipulate to make the number sentence true. This is a fun lesson that takes between 90-120 minutes. I have 45 minute periods and with my 6th graders in a class of 24, we were able to gather all of our data and have 10 minutes to spare. The next day, we finished the calculations and the visuals. Some worked faster than others, so some of the kids got to the reflection quest

Students are given a number line to put together and about 30 integers to place on it. This activity is to see students prior knowledge. Before any gluing takes place have a quick discussion and monitor student work to make sure all integers are in their correct location.
Afterwards, I had students like at least 4 things they noticed about the numbers on the number line.

8th grade Task Rotation for Fractions and Volume
This is a task rotation for my intro chapter to 8th grade math. I do a combination of fractions and geometry formulas. Give each station roughly 10 minutes to work on each problem. For station 3 it might help to pre tape the two cylinders to cut down on that time for students and to give them more time to work.
