Students choose a German-speaking person or a German-American who is no longer living, research facts about that person, and then create a tombstone. On November 1st you just set up 'the cemetery' of tombstones so students can walk through it, read each tombstone, and answer questions about the famous people buried there.

Oktoberfest Menu Images and Coin Images Grades K-3
Have students cut out the food items and paste them into a menu. They can paste the coins next to items to show how much an item costs, OR they can use the coins to pay for items. When I did this with K-3 students, I brought in all the foods and drinks and had a mini Oktoberfest with my class. Students had to order the foods they wanted in German, and pay for them. Each student was given 8 Euro and could spend it on the foods and drinks s/he wanted.

Reisepass, simple and only half of one sheet to cut your printing time! Cut the sheets in half and then the kids can fold to make a booklet. I have made with questions that lends itself to class discussion.
