The Candy Election - Freebie!
We hold a candy election every year in my classroom and the kids love it! Students will split up into three teams based on their favorite candy. I use Skittles, M&M’s and Gummi Bears, but feel free to white-out those candies and pick your own! Next, the kids will work together in their teams to create persuasive posters to promote their candy. The kids will also write a persuasive paragraph to promote their candy. This is a statistics project that can be modified to fit grades 6 to 12. This can also be done by hand or in excel. It would be a great assignment to use as a unit project or as a group presentation.
