3D Home Design Project! SUPER FUN!
My students LOVED this project. Each student designs a room of the house and writes a descriptive paragraph about that room (in Spanish, because I'm a Spanish teacher). Children's Book Project Rubric: La ciudad
For this project, students will write a children's book focused around places in the city. They will select a main character that must visit 10 locations. Mythology Project - Start a Business!
Originally created for use in an AP level German class, students assume the persona of a god, hero, or creature from Norse mythology and create a 21st century business plan. This is an absolutely AMAZING project! Students create a shoebox German escape room for their classmates to solve! Maerchenstrasse- Fairytales
I complete this hands-on project with my German 3 class. Teacher prep needed: I cut out a large sheet of brown paper and a large sheet of blue to act as the city of Marburg, Germany, where the fairytale walk is. Students read and watch the fairytales and create sculptures such as the ones in Marburg.

Aschenputtel Projekt
German 3 Project focused on reading an authentic text and introduction of imperfekt in context.
Students first read sections of Aschenputtel, edited in present tense to be able to understand the meaning of the passages.
Then students compare to original form and create ideas and rules about what is going on in the text.
This is followed up by whole class discussion.
This project focuses on student led grammar exploration and meaning based project.

I use this project in German 2 or early German 3 when teaching two-way prepositions. I asked my students to complete this project on canva.com, but it could be done on paper, as well. You could also change the area and vocab to make it more customizable.

I use this project as a fun, interactive way to practice furniture vocabulary, as well as wechsel prepositions. In groups, students create a famous room in a shoe box. They must describe the room using prepositions and the accompanying Dative or Akkusative article.
Alien Restaurant Project
