Building a Birdhouse Lesson
The lesson has two parts. First, students are given a quick powerpoint presentation of conservation in North America and instructions on how to find a design and execute the build of a birdhouse. The powerpoint comes with a note sheet. Second, students are given a worksheet that asks them questions about their build and has them compile a materials list. Help Wanted Poster- Career Activity
After students have looked at careers using a career survey have them create a help wanted poster for that career! Students will have to think from the POV of the employeer to put together a job listing for a career related to agriculture incluidng requirments of the job, specific skills, location, etc. Students will then have to write 10 interview questions to go with this job listing to ask in the interview later on in the unit.
