TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a certified teacher since June 2020 and got thrown into a full-time virtual teaching position in Windsor, Ontario in October 2020 during COVID. A few years ago I moved boards to the Grand Erie District School Board in Brantford and am teaching full-time, in-person, at a small school outside of the city.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I'm a type A personality so I'm very routine oriented. My students know the expectations when they walk in the door and they know the structure of the class as well as where to find work and where to find their success criteria checklist, or how they can succeed on assignments. I also love incorporating authentic learning and technology into my classroom. I bring in community speakers, bring classroom assignments into the school community, and am usually one of the first people to try out new apps!
