Students will cover a broad area of marketing basics while diving deep into sports and entertainment marketing skills. This course has students cover all the newest trends in the marketing world.  The class will explore the basic concepts and also apply a simulation project where students will actually prepare a sports and entertainment marketing plan. Each student will develop leadership and problem-solving skills, understand the importance of making ethical decisions, develop public speaking and presentation skills, proper social and business etiquette, analyze possible solutions to specific business problems, develop business leadership skills, and develop an increased understanding of the business world.

This is a SEMESTER COURSE with daily lesson plans for Sports & Entertainment Marketing that we have created ourselves. This is a course designed to meet district and state curriculum standards. We also follow ISTE and State Business Standards in this course.  This course is created to meet district and state curriculum standards. Students will cover a broad area of marketing basics while diving deep into sports and entertainment marketing skills. This course has students cover all the newest trends in the marketing world.  The class will explore the basic concepts and also apply a simulation project where students will actually prepare a sports and entertainment marketing plan. Each student will develop leadership and problem-solving skills, understand the importance of making ethical decisions, develop public speaking and presentation skills, proper social and business etiquette, analyze possible solutions to specific business problems, develop business leadership skills, and develop an increased understanding of the business world.

This course is conducted through lectures, engaging activities, group-paced instruction, hands-on practice, and discussion. Assignments range from a mix of daily assignments, time, projects graded on effort/attempt, unit tests,  as well as projects graded on overall appearance and completion of given requirements.

How my classroom works:

In my classroom, we use Google Drive and Classroom to store and turn in assignments. When students work on their assignments and projects, they can use Microsoft Word or Google Docs. The same rule applies to presentations, they can use PowerPoint or Google Slides.  It is up to you, as the teacher, to decide how you will have your students receive and turn in their assignments, projects, etc.
