Rolling For Place Value Fun
Students will roll the interactive dice and decide the largest 3 digit number they can make with the digits they rolled. Students will then build that number using the given hundred flats, ten rods, and one cubes. I have created a smart board activity taken from the Math in Focus game, race to 0. The objective of the game is to familiarize students with the concept of subtracting with regrouping. The game instructions are to start at 40 but can be easily modified to accommodate the needs of your students.

Simple Morning Routine
Every morning, my students and I would go through the calendar adding in the date for each month and filling in the bottom of the slide. The second slide is a digital form of the base ten blocks, for counting the number of days of school. The third slide is for money math, we worked on counting the number of days by using coins.

Problem Solving Strategies Menu Board
