They will be given a product/company to market for, and use data provided to create a claim to do this. 'Prime Climb' Adapted Class Display Activity

Weather Project!
Students will be completing a field study about weather. They will be asked to observe the weather in their neighborhood for 5 consecutive days, and record all observations and data on a chart. They will use this information to create a double line graph of data, as well as an essay that will highlight what they learned during their field study. Halloween Tasty Date Analysis
Motivate the students on Halloween to learn how to find and use range, mode, and median. Students will use individual M&Ms bags to estimate and count their candy. They will find the range, mode, and median of the bag and then transfer them to a bar graph. Additionally, a class-wide graph can be created to see the numbers on a larger scale. Calculator Organizer
This is a template that helps you organization calculator assignments. Take a sharpie and write numbers on your calculators, 1-35. Then, type in student names to the template and print out. Display it near the calculators in your room. Another method for this is to print and laminate. Then, write on the laminated sheet with an expo marker or sharpie. Your students will become landscapers with this mini project, designed for creativity and application of geometry skills! Provide students with a polygon of your choice, and let them go to work! They will use a materials list to select materials to landscape a backyard (their polygon).
