The H Brothers Posters & Story

Help teach children about the common digraphs sh, ch, wh, th by using characters known as the "H Brothers". I couldn't find a good set, so I drew my own and adapted a story to go along with it. It's a little different than the usual, but the children love it! The document includes images of my original posters that can be made smaller or larger depending upon your need. I set MS Word for legal sized paper. Enjoy!

This lesson gives a definition of fables, examples of fables, as well as a writing template. A great way to introduce this lesson would be with a video, tape, of DVD of a fable or by reading several to the class. They loved sharing what talent or skill they have and they loved drawing what handicaps the Handicap General would give them if they lived in Harrison's world. Our pictures are posted around the room and students from other classes who have heard a

When prominently displayed in the classroom, the words on the word wall are discussed, referenced, and used in a variety of assessments. Subject specific terminology provides visual clues, connections, and comprehension for students. This packet contains a 27 page
