Multiplication and Division Chant
I use this chant to help my students memorize the vocabulary associated with multiplication and division. I teach it as call and response. I begin saying, "In multiplication," and they respond "In multiplication..." We continue as call and response, line by line, until they have it memorized. The pictures after each line represent the motions we do as we chant. Before each math lesson, we do this chant. It's also a great time filler if we have a minute to use up!

This is an easy song to learn-my fifth-graders have memorized it in five minutes. For years, this song has helped my students and thousands of others, to keep these confusing terms straight. The Negative Rule for Inequalities Song
This song can be sung to the tune "This Land is Your Land" and can be very helpful to students who are trying to remember to switch the sign of the inequality when multiplying or dividing by a negative number. We sing it together during the unit as a brain break before practicing. You'll find students singing it after math class too!

Prime Numbers Song
Students will have a blast singing along to the Prime Numbers Song. This song includes all the prime numbers from 2 to 97. (1 and 100 are intentionally left out of the song as neither are prime.)
The first round of the chant is slowly paced while the second round challenges students to sing the prime numbers quickly.
