Shop/Lab Work Attitude Rubric

While students are working on large, time consuming labs or projects its often hard to grade their "work attitude". If your students need more grades than just a final project grade, this rubric is a great solution to grade their effort, work ethic and practices while they work towards a large final project.

Students can be scored on an individual basis or as a group--categories allow for both to be scored on the same sheet. The categories can be changed to fit your personal needs. I've also included a description of each evaluation category on the second page so studen

The student rates their strengths and weaknesses and tells you why they want to be in the class while the recommending teacher or counselor tells you all about what type of student and individual they really are. The students get so excited when they find out they made it into the program! This avoids the "dumping ground" scenario so

This rubric is designed to be used to grade woodworking projects up to grade 10. It breaks grading down to 5 basic levels, making grading very easy. Use your professional judgement to determine which level the student is at or if they are half way between levels. As the grading system works with a base number of 5, it is very easy to scale up to any weighting percentage (EG. if the project is worth 70% and a student gets a score of 3.5/5: 70/5=14. 3.5x14 =49/70). The word document is ready to pr
