This product is designed specifically for CHORAL CONDUCTORS! Years ago, after rehearsing my repertoire with my choir for several weeks, I realized I have chosen several pieces in the same tonal center. Irritated by my lack of the "total picture," I was inspired to create a matrix listing all of the important elements of choosing music for my ensemble. By filling in all the contents, I am able to have a clear idea of my entire repertoire...thereby, providing a balanced and engaging choral repe

It is important that students self assess their progress both in rehearsal and after performances. This rubric allows them to do both. I usually have them complete it (in pencil) after watching a video of a rehearsal a week or two before the concert date. Then we discuss it to prepare for the performance. After the concert, we watch that video and reassess (with highlighter). I then use it as a guide when I am assigning grades for the concert.

For example: What do reds mean- loud or soft? What should a smooth blue ocean sound like? Do your short choppy lines mean fast or slow tempo? Also pair this with some background of artist Kandinsky, and synethesia (seeing music with colors.) I use the app/website SeeSaw because it has an easy Google sign in, and it designed
