K-2 Reading Workshop Strategy and Comprehension Checklist
This observation checklist is a quick and easy way to assess students individually, in small groups, or with volunteers during Reading Workshop. I copy this checklist back to back for each student in my class. I keep them all on a clipboard and make different color copies for the parent volunteers to use. One sheet allows for 4 conferences and back to back allows for 8 conferences.

Phonics Skills Checklist (Year at a Glance)
I use this assessment in my guided reading binder. I write the children's names down the side and keep track of their phonics progress throughout the year by giving them a checklist when I can see evidence of their mastery in guided reading time, in their writing, or on weekly spelling tests. It is a great tool to keep you accountable in making sure your kiddos get a strong foundation of the basics. I'd be lost without it!

Reading and Reflecting About Reading Stamina!
