Symbols for the Community -Giving Directions
Print out these symbols and either laminate or slide into sheet protectors. If your school allows, Tape these "places" up all over the school. Give students directions to the "Firestation" or the "Bank". You can even give your hallways street signs and let your students make cars out of cardboard boxes (this was my HS's favorite part).

A Basic Course in ASL Lessons 1-3 TEST and KEY
This is a unit test for A Basic Course in ASL Lessons 1-3. The test includes 15 sentences the teacher will sign to students and students will translate, a vocabulary section, and a grammar section. The blank test handout is first in the file followed by the answer key that the teacher will use to sign from. I make a recording of the test so that I do not have to keep re-signing the test for students who are absent.
