This grid rubric contains eight categories for students to be evaluated within: Confidence/Enthusiasm, Song Choice, Hand Position, Fingerings, Articulation, Fluency, Tone, and Independence. This rubric assesses correct solfege syllables, tempo, rhythm, and pitch accuracy. Students may score up to 5 points in each category, for a total of 20 points. I use these for a weekly sight-singing quiz grade. There is a place to write comments as well.

We've all had students who miss our concerts for one reason or another. This is a writing assignment/reflection that students can write on to make-up missing points. Students simply watch the performance of your groups and then write their review on the document. The document can be edited by you to add more or less groups, change the points possible, etc.
