Temple Grandin Biography, Differentiated for Special Education
This is a short biography of Temple Grandin, an inspirational speaker, writer, and scientist. This is a part of a series of biographies that I am writing about inspirational people. These biographies are part of a larger series of non-fiction books for students with autism and other special needs.
Every book includes a page defining key vocabulary, and a page to review key vocabulary. Each page contains 2-5 sentences and a question with multiple choice answers.

I use this to start out the year, to remind myself my goals of being an 8th grade Learning Support Case Manager. My student's need to transition into the High School and need to be introduced to the philosophies in more than one way. I use this hand out during Curriculum Night, along with a powerpoint explaining my reasonings, and I use it during Parent /Teacher Conferences. The guardians appreciate the extra work and explanation behind your philosophy.

I highly recommend these books to my student's parents! It's a good handout resource for parents or anyone interested in learning more about autism.
