Students read and digest an episode of The Odyssey. Then they create a modern story that has thematic elements of the episode they just finished so that their final product is a storyboard with a modern story such as what one would present for a television show (complete with thought bubbles and conversation). This movie analysis requires students to view a film on their own time, then engage in a democratic group discussion to compare their annotations, produce a thesis or claim with support evidence, then construct a presentation of their work.
