Rainbow Palette

Rainbow Palette, formerly Art Makes U Smart, grew from a combined 12 years of teaching art in TK - 5th classrooms. We design our lessons so that anyone can teach them, including classroom teachers, substitutes, volunteers and art teachers. Many of our lessons refer to curriculum, NGSS, and Common Core Standards. All of our lessons build techniques based on the elements of art. We are very proud to say that in 2023, our art curriculum won the California Exemplary Art Education Award. We partner with Dixon Ticonderoga and you will find our lessons under Learn-It-by-Art on their website. Our lesson plans have been featured at the National Art Education Association conferences. We create original art videos for our local school district to distribute to 18,000 students online.

Julie has a combined B.S and B.A. in Environmental Design and a Minor in Art History from Purdue University, and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University. Dr. Anu has an M.D. and B.S. from the University of Minnesota

Julie is the art specialist at MATES, an arts and technology charter school and Anu teaches art and ceramics to adult and young students.
