Foreign Language Week Human Bingo - Student and Staff Activity

In New York State we have Foreign Language Week in March. Last year, to get the whole school involved I handed out these bingo boards. The students need to walk around asking teachers and staff if they can say "hello" in German, for example. They had so much fun getting to know the teachers and realizing the connection that other teachers have to foreign languages! I gave the students a week to complete the activity and gave them a small prize for participating when they turned it in. It wa

This is a great activity because the bingo cards use pictures. This way both the teacher and students can speak in the target language when communicating during the activity. My kids love playing bingo, and usually all the students are alert and playing. It's a great motivator! I recommend printing on card stock and laminating for future use. The bingo boards contain 16 squares. In the downloadable preview you can see all the body parts I used.
