STEAM Forest Restoration
This is a STEAM unit plan that aligns the National Core Art Standards with the Next Generation Science Standards. This lesson was designed to help students take action in their state by contributing to the restoration of our state forest after fire devastation. This project is part of a larger Digital Video Production class that I taught. It was an 8th grade elective course and the project takes about two weeks to complete. After they have completed the primary course material on basic filming, editing and script writing for their final project I allowed them to choose which Academy award they are trying to win. The assignment details relate directly to the academy award that they are trying for. This project is "Best Director for a Comedy"
