This is a great, simple worksheet for students to use when researching a realistic car they wish to purchase one day in the future. This activity provides students the opportunity to analyze a catchphrase or slogan of a company. They convert the catchphrase into a conditional statement and use that to determine the converse, inverse, and contrapositive statement. Design a Dream Vacation Cabin Geometry
In this mini-project, students will design and draw to scale (plan and elevation views) their dream vacation cabin. They will calculate areas of the flooring, siding and roofing. Then they will research the internet and choose materials, find actual costs, and calculate total materials costs for those parts of their cabin. Handouts including a guide for students and a simple rubric, are included. Pythagorean theorem is used to calculate roofing.
