Family Surname Research Project
Learning to do research and selecting material to use is made interesting with this project. Students research a family surname, write a report about their findings, create a bibliography citing references, write their own personal family history, and create a family crest. I use this near the end of the year so students demonstrate skills we have worked on during the year. A rubric is included.
