Middle School Chemistry Review/Study Guide. This packet is heavy on the periodic table: how to read it, groups, periods, valance electrons, reactivity, chemical properties, and properties of metals, nonmetals, metalloids. This would be good for 6th or 8th grade review of chemistry. This does not have any APE MANN work, Lewis dot structure, or balancing this is mostly vocab work and reading the periodic table and how it is organized.

Stoichiometry Road Map

My students and I created a "road map" of a "city" for calculating between moles to grams, particles, and volume. With this map my students and I also Incorporated another "city" by connecting a bridge to show a mole to mole ratio. Students use this to help guide them through the steps of stoichiometry. In this document, we also listed steps on how to work through the process with an example showing the fencing method on the back. This is a tool I use in my 10th grade chemistry class.

Using stoichiometry is a fundamental skill in chemistry that can be difficult for students to grasp. This road map can be used as a tool to help students identify the steps needed to take to calculate 1-step, 2-step, and 3-step stoichiometry problems. If a number is written on the road map (ex. 1 mol A or 1 L B) that number does not change. If there is a box next to the units then those numbers ( molar mass, molarity, etc) change depending on the conditions of the problem. Students use this map
