Middle Ages Outline

This supplements my Middle Ages Webquest. After students have finished their projects, they may work on outlining one subject related to the Middle Ages. Advice: Keep outlines narrow. Don't allow three topics about the Middle Ages, such as weapons, food, clothes. Rather encourage students to find three subtopics such as "dragons, jesters, troubadors" when learning about Middle Age folklore.

This outline accompanies the PowerPoint lecture I made for CH 5.1: “West African Culture and Daily Life,” of McDougal Littell’s World History: Medieval and Early Modern Times®. I usually have my students fill in the missing blanks as I lecture with the PowerPoint slideshow. Then I assign them to copy the entire outline in their notebooks. Student with special needs just need to glue the outline worksheets into their notebooks.

I used it as a handout to help my students see the development of Anselm's argument in each section. They were thankful, and their comprehension and appreciation of the work increased.
