Potato Olympics
This is a whole day interdisciplinary classroom event. Students dress up a potato based on a country. They bring them in on the day of the Potato Olympics. Students choose Olympic events to participate in. Then, there are opening ceremonies where each student presents their potato athlete and their biography. Then, students compete in the different events. The top three potatoes in each event earn medals which are presented at the closing ceremonies.

In this hands-on activity, students create 3-dimensional models using nets.
