Chronicled are the events surrounding the bombing of the 16th Street Church in Birmingham, Alabama. The infamous bombing and the criminal investigation that followed were a key turning point in the Civil Rights Movement. A super documentary by Spike Lee can be incorporated into the study, "Four Little Girls." I use several clips from the video to enhance my look into the case.

This lesson is a Breakout Box meets the game of Clue that integrates oral language, reading, math, and technology . Students work in teams to measure "digital footprints", study fingerprint scans, identify "spyware traces" left on the computer and look at Nmap evidence.
