For example, how many months there are in a year, how many seconds there are in a minute, etc. These are the "basic facts" needed before converting from one unit of time to another. After the basic facts, there are three think-aloud examples that show students how to use the information to solve word problems. Sample problems are included at the end to help students practice converting from one unit of time to another.
