Common Core Math standards require students to know and measure angles - but it is always confusing on how to do it easily and how to pick between the two numbers on the protractor. This can be used as a page in a math journal or projected to use as an anchor chart. Could also be sent home for parent

For this assignment, students will create their own zoo finding the area and perimeter of each animal's exhibit. WAY more fun than a boring old worksheet or test. PLUS, it is standards based, and it covers much, much more than area and perimeter of squares, rectangles, and rectangular shapes. This assignment reinforces skills such as basic fact recall, multiplication of larger numbers, using a ruler, and measuring in centimeters.

Our students always seem to struggle when doing metric system conversions, especially because they are so used to doing conversions in our standard system of measurement that we use in the U.S. When introducing your students to the metric system, this conversion chart will come in handy for the students to use as a quick reference or "cheat sheet". Eventually, with enough practice and use of the conversion chart, they will be able to convert easily on their own. This conversion chart is based
