This is a rubric based on the MAAP 3-8 Writing Rubric that is used for state testing. Our team of ELA teachers created this rubric to guide students' writing and prepare them for the state writing assessment. This also gives teachers a time-line of what writing to begin at what point in the school year. This was based on upper elementary (5th and 6th grade classes).
