I was a middle school teacher for 10 years, a high school teacher for 2 years, and an elementary teacher for 5 years. I taught Reading, English, Language Arts, Speech and Debate, Yearbook, Journalism, and Computers: Software I was a Literacy Instructional Specialist for 20 schools for 6 years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Standards-based student-centered instruction. Lessons were created using the Gradual Release of Responsibility Model by Fisher and Frey. (I Do, We Do, You together and You Do alone. Lessons provide step by step teacher and student directions with examples for each activity.
