Excel 2010 Tutorial - Creating a Grocery List using AutoSum function, formulas
In this beginner level assignment, students create a colorful Grocery List in Excel that contains the SUM and AutoSum functions. Students will also learn to create formulas to solve slightly more complex math problems involving multiplication. Formatting skills are also enhanced here as the exercise requires the creation of headings, the formatting of shapes, the use of borders, as well as different font sizes and colors.

Rubric for acrylic "intrusive thoughts" painting
In my Painting 1 class students are assigned an acrylic painting project where they create imagery inspired by the prompt "intrusive thoughts." Students are to create this painting using only the primary colors, white, and black, and then practice their color mixing techniques using knowledge from our color theory study unit to blend and mix any other hues they are desiring. Students are assessed on technique, creativity, brainstorming, and blending.
