TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have over 35 years of experience in the Jr. and Sr. high classroom in the areas of Graphic Design, Media Creations, Photography, Technology, Marketing, Information Processing, and Accounting. I am in Alberta, Canada, and follow the Alberta CTS curriculum for Communication Technology.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My classes have always been about hands on learning and student-centered learning. I generally introduce a concept, provide instructions, examples and assets for the project, and then let the students work at their own pace. My job is to then be their facilitator to guide, help, provide feedback, and let the students "own" their learning.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

My resources are based on the Alberta CTS curriculum for Communication Technology. My senior high classes are always timetabled as a grade 10/11/12 split. This means my resources are easy for students to follow, sometimes without much guidance from me.
